High School Water Fight In Linden Leads To Injured Police, Four Arrested

A group of kids having a water fight near police officers at Linden High School ended with several Linden police officers suffering minor injuries and four people arrested on Wednesday, May 10.

Police were conducting a  traffic stop near the high school while several kids were in the area squirting water guns and throwing water balloons at each other, police said. 

During the water fight, an 18-year-old man pointed a water gun at police and squirted it, hitting the officer in the face, police said. 

While the officer attempted to detain the combative teenager, 30-40 kids joined the scene and started acting aggressively toward police, officers said. Mutual aid was requested, police said.

Several police officers suffered minor injuries and three additional juveniles were arrested, police said.
